Dear Friends, Mentors & Colleagues,

I am writing to solicit your support for Gambit, a book of interviews and accompanying short stories. The project has taken a life of its own since I started it in early 2012, and I consider it exciting that it has led us to thinking about putting out a book.

Although I am a young writer, my goal is to support the work of my peers by engaging with their ideals. Gambit has given me an opportunity to do that and I will be grateful if we can give additional visibility to these exciting writers and their work (Novuyo Rosa Tshuma, Abubakar Adam Ibrahim, Ayobami Adebayo, Abdul Adan, Suzanne Ushie, Dami Ajayi, Donald Molosi & Dango Mkandawire).

As you might know it is difficult to engage the services of mainstream publishers for a book as experimental as this. We are dealing with new(er) African writers, and the form is unique and unprecedented.

We believe that with your support, we can take a shot at this. Please consider making a donation through Indiegogo to fund Gambit. We a number of perks to donees, which might interest you.

Kindly consider supporting this project, and do not hesitate to hit me with questions if you have any. Please feel free to share this information with your network as well.
